Vic/P42GIPPSLAND BASIN - offshore Vic/P42, BAS 20%
 Vic/P42 is located approximately 40 km offshore and comprises 1876 sq km.
Water depths range from 50 to 80 metres. The permit lies adjacent to Kingfish, Australia's largest oil field, as well as a number of other Esso/BHP producing oil and gas fields. Gas and condensate discoveries at ZaneGrey (BAS, 2005) and Omeo, lie within Vic/P42.
Vic/P42 now has extensive modern 3D seismic coverage and a strong inventory of prospects and leads. Not withstanding the result of the April 2008 Speke South-1 well, BAS believes this permit has significant remaining potential and looks forward to a continuing joint venture exploration programme.
