John L C McInnes OAM

BComm, FCA – Chairman and non-executive independent Director

Mr McInnes is currently a director of Mutual Trust Pty Ltd, Assetco Pty Ltd Group, Hillview Quarries Pty Ltd, Castlegate James Australiasia Pty Ltd, Roy Morgan Research Ltd and Haoma Mining NL Group.  He has previously been Deputy Chairman of Pacific Hydro Ltd and Futuris Ltd.

Mr McInnes holds an Economics and Commerce degree form the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Accountant.  He was the founding partner of McInnes Graham & Gibbs, which in 2006 merged with Mutual Trust Pty Ltd.  He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and in 2007 he was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia in recognition of his services to the community.

Andrew P (Andy) Whittle

BSc (Hons) – Non-executive independent Director

Andy has over 40 years of technical and managerial experience in the petroleum exploration and production industry worldwide, with a focus on SE Asia / Australia.  His experience includes over 21 years with several affiliates of Exxon Corporation in Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Canada and the USA, finally in the position of Geological Manager of Esso Australia.  Following his career with Exxon he was Exploration Manager with GFE Resources Ltd and has been intimately involved with Pexco in the exploration project that led to the identification and discovery of the Thylacine gas field in the Otway Basin and in acquiring deepwater exploration blocks in Indonesia.  Most recently, Andy co-founded and is a Director of PetroVal Australasia Pty Ltd, a petroleum consulting company that specializes in preparing independent technical reports and evaluating exploration and production assets for a range of clients both nationally and internationally.

Andy is a Director of Bumi Armada Berhad, a Malaysian based international offshore services provider to the oil and gas industry.  He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the Society of Professional Well Log Analysts and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.

Jayme A McCoy

Non-executive Director

Mr Jayme McCoy has over 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry and previously served as the Managing Director of ASX listed Sundance Energy Australia Ltd. During his time as MD of Sundance Energy, Mr McCoy was instrumental in a number of extremely successful transactions which took the market capitalisation of Sundance from $16 million to $166 million over a six year period.

Mr McCoy has a detailed understanding of oil and gas geology and has extensive professional expertise in this sector acquired in North America with Freedom Energy Inc, Farmoil lnc and Thomson Valley Gas Inc. 

David J Lindh OAM

LLB – Non-executive Director

Mr Lindh has over 30 years experience as both a lawyer and company director. Mr Lindh is currently the Chairman of ASX listed Island Sky Australia Ltd and has been the Chairman of Enterprise Energy Ltd, Orca Petroleum Ltd and Centrex Metals Ltd. During Mr Lindh's period as Chairman of Centrex Metals Ltd, the company grew from a $15 million company at the time of listing to $201 million when he resigned his position.

Mr Lindh is also currently Chairman of Adelaide Equity Partners Limited, a director of various other unlisted companies and a consultant with Minter Ellison lawyers in Adelaide.

Robyn Hamilton

BCA, CA – Company Secretary

Ms Hamilton is a Chartered Accountant and has over 20 years experience working for public and private companies including other junior mining & exploration companies. She holds a Bachelor's degree in accountancy from Victoria University of Wellington and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.  Ms Hamilton relocated to Melbourne in 2003.  She is a member of the Melbourne branch of NZICA and has been Co-Chair.

 

EXECUTIVE

Steven I (Steve) Mackie

BSc, MBA, PhD – Chief Executive Officer

Dr Mackie has over 35 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry and has worked for multinational operating companies (Exxon, Shell and Sinopec), local Australian explorers (Santos and Magellan) as well as running his own consultancy for many years.  Steve has worked all the basins of Australasia, Gulf of Mexico and onshore UK.  He holds a BSc from Macquarie University specialising in geology and geophysics; an MBA from the University of South Australia with expertise in strategy and a PhD from Adelaide University in decision making.

Along with his current role he is an adjunct lecturer at the Australian School of Petroleum at Adelaide University and serves as the Technical Program Chairman for the annual Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) conference, the southern hemisphere's largest oil and gas conference. He sits on the exploration committee of APPEA and is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA), the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE).  He has published many professional papers on petroleum exploration and is the winner of APPEA's Best Paper Award in 2007 and Best Poster Award in 2008.
